Account help

Delete your RVR account

You can delete your account from RVR Chat settings. Before you confirm, check that you are signed in to the account you want to delete.

Delete your account in RVR Chat

  1. Sign in to the right account

Use the Patreon account you originally connected to RVR. A paid Patreon membership is not required to sign in.

  2. Open account settings

Open the account menu and choose Profile and credits, or use the account settings link. The page heading is Profile & account.

Open Connected accounts to check the private email. Check your RVR username and library too. If these are not yours, stop and follow the advice below.

  3. Find Account controls

Under Help & account, select Account controls. Then select Review account deletion.

  4. Read the warning and confirm

You can add a Reason (optional). In Type DELETE to confirm, enter DELETE in uppercase.

To leave without deleting, choose Keep my account.

  5. Select Delete account

Choose Delete account only when you are ready. When the request succeeds, RVR signs you out and returns you to the home page.

If you see an error, do not assume deletion is complete. Contact support if you cannot confirm the result.

What deletion means

Your account access ends immediately. Your account data will be deleted from active systems within 5–7 days, and remaining backup copies within 90 days after account deletion, except where retention is required by law.

You cannot return to the deleted account to read its conversations, use its credits or access its private worlds. Only confirm if you are ready to permanently give up that access.

For questions about your personal data, see the Privacy Policy or contact support before deleting.

Cannot access the right account?

RVR shows a different account

Stop before deleting. Sign out of RVR through Account controls, then check which account you are signed in to on Patreon. Switch to the Patreon account originally linked to RVR before signing in to RVR again. You can check your Patreon account settings (opens in a new tab).

You cannot sign in, or RVR asks you to create an account

You do not need to create another account to request help with an existing one. If the original account is inaccessible, or you unexpectedly reach username setup, stop and contact support.

Your reply email differs from your Patreon email

A support contact email is where you want a reply; it does not choose the RVR account to delete. In your message, explain that the emails differ and identify the RVR username or linked Patreon email if you know it.
