By accessing or using RVR.Chat ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RVR.Chat is an AI-powered fantasy roleplay platform that allows users to create, share, and interact with AI-generated characters and scenarios. The Service includes chat functionality, character creation tools, and a credit-based access system.

3. User Accounts

Patreon OAuth: The primary method of creating an account is through Patreon OAuth. By linking your Patreon account, you agree to Patreon's terms of service and privacy policy.

Guest Access: Limited guest access is available without registration. Guest users are limited to 10 lifetime messages and may be required to provide additional information for continued access.

Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Credit System and Payments

Credits: The Service uses a credit-based system. Free users receive 30 credits per day. Patreon supporters receive additional bonus credits based on their tier.

Purchases: Credits can be purchased through Stripe. All credit purchases are final and non-refundable. Credits have no cash value and expire based on your subscription tier.

Pricing: Credit bundles are available in quantities from 500 to 10,000. Prices are displayed in the upgrade section of the Service.

5. User-Generated Content

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you create, including character cards, descriptions, and chat messages. By submitting content, you grant RVR.Chat a license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Service.

Character Cards: Character cards you create are visible to other users unless you choose to keep them private. Public character cards may be reviewed, rated, and featured by the community.

AI-Generated Content: Responses generated by AI characters are produced by artificial intelligence and may not reflect real people, events, or factual information.

6. Content Guidelines and Moderation

Prohibited Content: You may not create, share, or request content that:

  • Exploits or harms minors
  • Promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activities
  • Contains hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Is pornographic or sexually explicit
  • Contains personal information of private individuals

Moderation: We reserve the right to review, reject, or remove any content that violates these guidelines. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, engage in abusive behavior, or bring the Service into disrepute. Users may also delete their accounts at any time through the dashboard settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We are not obligated to provide refunds for unused credits or subscription fees.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Patreon (authentication), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and storage), and various AI providers (content generation). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. RVR.Chat SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. AI-generated content is produced by automated systems and may contain inaccuracies.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via the website or email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in accordance with legal procedures.
