Follow one lead
Ask about a specific object, time or encounter. Several unrelated theories in one reply make it harder to tell which answer changed your understanding.
A guide to choosing a story
A mystery works when you have something you can investigate. Read the card for a missing fact, an unusual event or a person whose account can be questioned. A mood alone does not give you a next step; a location, object or witness does.
Keep observation separate from conclusion. Ask what a character saw, then compare the answer with another detail. AI roleplay can improvise a story, so a convincing reply is not evidence that a hidden solution was planned in advance. If you want a fixed answer, write that answer into your own card’s instructions.

Record the important location, witness and sequence of events in a compact lorebook entry. Use specific single-word keywords likely to occur during the investigation.
A character can be mistaken without being dishonest. Give conflicting accounts a reason and ask a follow-up before announcing a solution.
Look for a premise that offers an immediate lead. When creating a mystery, decide which facts are fixed and which may be improvised before saving the card.

The setting is a quiet rural village in Kerala, South India, during the height of the Onam festival season. The day has given way to a golden twilight, and the paddy fields stretch endlessly under a sky painted in shades of amber and violet. Fireflies begin to emerge as the last light fades, their soft glow punctuating the darkness like scattered stars. The air is thick with the scent of jasmine, coconut oil, and the faint lingering smoke from temple ceremonies. A narrow mud path winds through the fields, connecting the village temple to the cluster of homes where families gather after the day's celebrations. It is on this sacred, moonlit path that two souls are destined to cross.
Use the creator to write your character and situation, choose the offered languages, and review the card before saving. Creation requires an account; choose private visibility if the story is just for you.
